So the holidays have started, and I'm starting to feel a bit disappointed in them too.

Not to mention that CAP of mine that could have been a perfect 5.0 if not for my oh-so-depressing Art and HCl grades. DDDX

I have started watching Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu. So far I'm at episode 8, which is actually the 10th episode. (No, it does not make sense.) The characters are all very cute, the whole thing is surprisingly interesting/funny/amusing/insert adjective here, and the Hare Hare Yukai keeps on making me laugh. (Blame Maisuke for that.)

Only problem is that anime makes Communist lagggggggggg.

Ri-chan and I are going to go watch Terminator Whatever tomorrow! We were going to invite Shasha and Joey and Awa but Shasha can't make it and I have no idea about the other two.

Also I'm now using my never-got-handed-in Art Sketchbook for a normal doodlebook. ^____^

So we went to Bugis Junction today after report cards!

(I got 4.45. AGAIN. Pwned by LEYI of all people. But it would have been perfect except for HIGHER CHINESE and ART with Bminuses. Life hates me.)

(Not to mention that true art doesn't bow to anyone else's definitions of neatness!)

(Now let's get back to the point.)

So. There was Ruth and Clarice and Ji Hyun and Candice and Nikki and YX and Adrian and ZE and Leyi and Deborah-(is that how she spells it?)-from-some-other-class and Pin Lin, not to mention my very own self. We wandered around for a while, ate at the food court, split up into two groups, tried to find each other....Ji Hyun wouldn't pick up her phone...we even looked for her and company in the kiddies' section of the department store!! (On account of not putting it past her.)

Then we went to watch Night at the Museum 2, but Leyi had watched it already, so we kinda....abandoned her....because she didn't want to watch it again.
I felt kinda bad, but what can one do?

I also got milk peach tea! (Or is it peach milk tea? xD)

So the movie was highly entertaining, though I don't really feel like going into detail.

Afterwards we window-shopped a little. I don't think I much like window-shopping. Ruth was kind enough to lend me her phone, so I called Dad.

Then I went off, correctly assuming that it would take about 15 of my precious minutes to get to wherever the taxi would turn up. ^^;;;;;;;;

Apart from that, I've talked to Ri-chan. It appears that she's finding some things in common with a couple of Nanyang people. Also she is very excited about having taken the ferry to Pulau Semakau for NPCCSea.

(Also quite surprised to observe from Claire that the Yoru-senpai thing is over. o__O)

Today was the absolute most retarded lecture-thingy ever. On ETIQUETTE.
Nothing wrong with etiquette. It's actually annoying when people don't have it. But that session...

Let's just settle for saying I'm scarred for life and beyond.

I've always thought, with good reason, that a common-sense, comfortable, efficient, businesslike approach is in order.
(E.g. the guys' version. Never underestimate the sexism prevalent in society's codes.)
Enhancing a gender divide is what actually promotes sexual discrimination anyway.

On a more relevant note, I would like to hereby register my objection against draping one's arms daintily over one's handbag, keeping a vacant smile plastered across one's face or standing with one's feet pressed together like a ballerina. Just...no.

Teacher: And giiiiiirls, you can cross your legs like THIS! *does incredible bimbo impersonation, on account of BEING ONE*
Me: *thoughts are elsewhere*
Teacher: *notices me and comes over annoyingly* Why don't you try?
Me: Why is it so important to conform to traditional stereotypes of femininity? (this was because it was what I was thinking at the time. *has no self-control*)
Teacher: *blinks*
Me: Never mind. *is generally stunned by teh bimboticism*

I have never had such a strong urge to facepalm. Or to throw something at a teacher. Even if she was an outside instructor.

(Plus, dear woman, you do not look tall because of your posture. You look tall because you're in stiletto heels, and even so I'm probably taller.)

Also there was a police whatever talk.
But if they were really so efficient at catching music downloaders there are few of my friends who wouldn't have a criminal record. *rolleyes*

Creative writing whatever thing also. Some science fiction writer talked at us and then we asked stuff at him and it was all blissfully informal.

Also Claire wasn't even at SCHOOL.

Tomorrow is teahouse trip. And chem.

So I went to school today and did practically nothing. xDDDD

I got my Japanese papers and such back, but they won't go in my score, so....^^ Also it appears that practically everyone failed Chinese, so I'm suddenly incredibly relieved I didn't take that exam.

So I hung around with Claire and Vivian and Yoru-senpai and Russell in the general area of a fire escape landing and watched and participated as Claire tried to coach Vivian on singing technique or something of the sort. They had Talent Search semifinals today. (Claire and Vivi and Russell, that is.)

So it involved a blue dot on a piece of paper and Vivi singing at it for a while, and meanwhile Claire tried to figure out which of whichever Bleach endings or whatever she wanted to sing. We all thought Houkiboshi was nicest. She thought it was difficultest, but oh well. Also she sang this long Chinese song that ended with this extended note that was very scary.

After spending a long time in the fire escape alarming the cleaning uncles and such, Claire got a call from Mr Valles (I think Yoru-senpai had vanished by then) and so we filed off in an orderly fashion to meet him at the netball court. I don't know why he didn't just get us to go down to the staffroom or whatever. Anyway it had to do with the FPSP writing whatever that I've missed the deadline of because of being at home-DDDDDDDDDDDDDX-so he just told me quite kindly that I could participate in the other competition. Not that I really know what that is.

So we sat around for a while up there listening to music (me at least) and reading the scenario whatevers, and then we went off to get our bags and I think we went downstairs for lunch then. Unless I'm forgetting something else that happened...? o___O

Anyway I had a curry puff for lunch and a slice of Tricia's birthday (brownie) cake because it was her birthday. The singing-people had udon soup and glared daggers at me.

Russell: You person!!!!!

Not my fault that they have to take care of their voices!!

After that we went upstairs and Maisuke-senpai was standing around looking idiotic with this massive inflatable globe in his hands, so we all paraded over and he explained his super-award-winning project to us. I was easily distracted. ^^;;;;

Claire: I wonder how small one of those magnetic grains is...?
Me: All I know is that it's probably bigger than my attention span.
And mass facepalming.

So we went to the library to look for Henpai or something, but he wasn't there so we went outside to wait and so the singing-people could practice, but we bumped into him straight away. Then some friend of him started dragging him towards the back gate.

Claire: Noooo! Don't abandon your boyfriend!!!! He's upstairs!!
Henpai curses at us. I think.
VIvian joins in with Claire.
I facepalm.
We end up succeeding in convincing him to accompany us to the library. Where Maisuke-senpai was, instead of being upstairs. Details, details. xDDDD

Then we played that game from Saturday where you pick a word and have to answer all questions with it until you laugh. It was hilarious.
Russell: Tomato!
Me: What did the principal wear to school this morning?
Russell: Tomato *amidst gales of laughter*
xDDDDD

Eventually I went home. All good things must come to an end.
They had auditions-or-whatever then anyway.

Also, does Yoru-senpai have some sort of Claire-radar..? He sure wasn't in the library at FIRST.

Oh well. There are only so many places where we all congregate. Even I had to hunt them all down at first after Japanese based on my epic deduction skillz.

Talent competition today=singing practice=place with acoustics=staircase landing or behind the Auditorium.
Some whatever speeches in the Audi today=No use of behind-auditorium area

And if we sub (2) into (1), we come up with the explanation that they are in the staircase landing!

Went to school this morning.

Nobody said hi to me (that I remember), and I made it there just late enough to not get to talk to Claire or Vivi. Leyi doesn't seem to be talking to me, oddly enough. Oh well. See if I care.

At school, I suppose I am a non-person. DDDDDX. I like being around all my ex-RGP friends alotlotlot, but at school....oh well. Every once in a while I tag around other people and get noticed, or else I talk to Claire and Vivian. Such is life.

Anyway, I picked up my math paper and got sent home. So much for going to school.

Hopefully they didn't have the class outing without me today. DDDX.

YESTERDAY. WAS. AWESOME.

It started out not-so-awesome when I got dragged along by my parents to look at some flat that was a penthouse but not nice and gave me allergies and we took twice as long as we should have. DX.

Then we got a taxi to go pick up Awa's nice chocolate cake with HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY AWA across the top.

Getting into RGS took absolutely forever. There was this (short) queue and nobody could spell my name right, and then there was another place where I had to give my name and then they gave me this green bag-thing that I put on top of the cake box so it wasn't so obvious that I was lugging a huge chocolate cake all over the place. Then I called Ri-chan to ask where she was. She came over from the kitchen and emerged behind me and when I turned around and saw her she was getting booked for talking to me on her cellphone. DDDDDDDDDDDDX

Then we went to look for Awa, but like the idiots we so often are we went looking for the CAP booth instead of the SAP booth. So it took at least 15 minutes to find the CAP booth, and...nothing. Of course. So we went to find Shooting, but she wasn't there either, although we did find Amanda Hsiung advertising for Judo and I ended up advertising for them all over my sleeves. ^^ She said I'd gotten taller. I thought she'd gotten shorter. ^^;;;;;;;;

Then we went to get Ri-chan's bag from the Kitchen where she picked up a plastic fork for the cake. I called her a forklifter. xDDD

And then
Random person: Is that Edith?
Me: Um...Hi!!! (aside to Ri-chan) Do I know her?
Ri-chan: YES! That's Cassandra!
Me: Oh! Hi, Cassandra! (aside) Do I know her?

I phail.
Eventually Ri-chan figured out that we were supposed to be looking for SAP. EVENTUALLY. DDDDDDX

So we found them outside the art room or something and we found Onion-san and she looks a little like Shasha and sounds like Shasha too. o___O And we found Awa of course! And Stef Goh whom I'm still taller than, if just barely. Her hair's a lot longer, isn't it? Awa gave me a sticker Stef made saying something about Adam Lambert. (Who should have won, as I maintain despite the fact that I've never watched an episode of American Idol in my life. I'm told I make a sucky American. xDDD)

So Awa took the cake and left it in the art room and we all drifted around for a while. ^____^ and we went to Shooting and Awa showed us how and then Ri-chan shot the piece of card but I wasn't paying attention to how she was holding the gun exactly and then I needed her to show it to me one more time but then I shot the floor by accident and needed her to show it to me again and in the end I shot at it and we reeled the card-thing back in and there was just one hole in it where Ri-chan shot it but Awa said the sound that had been produced was that of a pellet going through the card so then Ri-chan or someone noticed that the hole was bigger and apparently I shot in the exact same place? o__________O but shooting was not made for those with my nonexistant attention spans, or so I fear.

Also we went to look for Naomi and crossed by their INCREDIBLY SKINNY track and I asked them, if it's only three lanes, what do they do for competitions and stuff? And Awa said they went somewhere else, BUT THEN WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING A TRACK AT ALL???!?? Also we went to a block by the name of J-block and bumped into Jocie who was at the Food Distribution Point and Ri-chan mistook Food Distribution for a CCA which was funny so we mooched a water bottle off then and took off for H block (ecchi block!! xD) for lack of anything better to do and because we thought Naomi might be there, and she wasn't, so we ended up drifting back to Art. Or SAP. Not CAP though. ^^

Then Awa needed to fulfill her shift for CIP hours or something so it was just as well that we went back and I doodled on the paper on the table while Ri-chan participated in the organised activity of cutting out paper girls in the RGS colours and Awa sat there supervising a couple of littlish kids while making the cardboard template-girls do perverted things and Onion-san drew her precious Yuri next to her drawing of Gokudera, and then I drew an ambiguous-ish doodle of two girls hugging and said that this was yuri~~! And then she rolled her eyes at me or something AND SINEAD AKA PINKY-CHAN TURNED UP AND IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I SAW HER AND ALSO SHE IS PRETTY, but she had to go to the nanyang open house also and couldn't stay for cake and such. And then we went to watch Naomi in her drama-thing-performance in something that sounded like the KFC Theater.

They told an improvised version of Cinderella in different story-styles, with Nai as newscaster. o___O but I thought the Bollywood narrator was funniest. xD Also some people including Naomi told an impromptu story about a gate that only opened for blue-haired people so a girl dyed her hair blue and the gate promised to open in exchange for a cheeseburger so she bought it a cheeseburger and it ate it and died and opened. There was some other stuff too.

Then we went and had the cake! xDDDD We cut it into 8 portions. Or at least Awa did. For me, Ri-chan, Awa, Shasha, Onion-san, Stefanie Goh, So Phia and Naomi. HOWEVER, Roanna and Christina turned up and ended up consuming sizeable portions of mine and of Awa's slices, but nobody really minded. Also then Awa and Ri-chan opened the presents I'd given them and Awa liked her Reborn! artbook and smallish notebook very much but I'd forgotten to bring the poster. T___________T Ri-chan also liked her address book and volume of manga very much. xDDD although it was kind of stupid about how the wrapping papers got mixed up.

Then we went off to Plaza Singapura! xDDD but Onion-san vanished which was kind of strange since it was her idea to go to Plaza Singapura anyway, but she did have piano class. SO WE WENT TO COMICS CONNECTION. And Naomi kept talking about going to some 'obscene' shop, but it only turned out to be some kind of joke shop. (And here I was thinking the worst.) I got Ri-chan what she wanted at Comics Con, which were a bone-shaped nail clipper and a syringe-shaped mechanical pencil. I wanted to buy a poster but there weren't any really nice ones.

We also went to the Otaku House where there were lots of Suzumiya Haruhi figurines and such, but those are always expensive. DDDX. Also tons of cosplay, especially different-colored sailor fuku and stuff, but the fabric is never any good. You'd get an easier deal going to a tailor or something! (...maybe? *is clueless*) We went to the sword store next door too, and I must say, I always THOUGHT a wakizashi was longer than a katana...

Then we went on the escalator and So Phia and Ri-chan were discussing whether cute or maginificent was better, and I said cute AND magnificent was better, and then we ended up going down one escalator too many and getting lost. DX Then we figured it out and went back up but then SOME people got distracted going to Build-A-Bear to look for clothes for Maximilian, Ri-chan's while bunny-shaped bag which she got from So Phia in exchange for a pair of earphones. But all the clothes were too small. Eventually we found them in the joke shop.

After that, we went to Swensens! I had a sticky chocolate sundae and Shasha had fries and Awa had a mint whatever and I calculated the price and figured that Awa could afford an extra drink within her $40 voucher but I forgot to allow for GST. DDDX. Anyway it only came to $4.40 extra. ($44.40...o____O) And then it was already past 5 so Naomi left and we took the (bus) TAXI back and played some game where you have to pick a word and answer every question asked you with the same word and your turn is over when you laugh.

Me: Who was your first boyfriend?
So Phia: Maximillian.
Me: Who was your first girlfriend?
So Phia: Maximillian.
Me: Who cheated on you with the Hwa Chong principal?
So Phia: Maxi- *laughs*

and such insanity. So Phia had to leave and go back to Nanyang to be picked up.

Then we got home! xDDD and played truth or dare and had pizza and fries and people were very nosy. Also we prank-called Vivian and So Phia and Joey pretending to be Ulu Pandan Seafood Restaurant calling with special deals on sharks' fin soup. It didn't work once. Awa is more distinctive-sounding than she thinks she is. ESPECIALLY with a weird accent.

Also people were very nosy in truth-or-dare.

Then Shasha and Awa left and Ri-chan stayed overnight. We talked until midnight. o________O

And that is the lovely story of what happened yesterday.

Also Shasha and Joey are Officially Together. But it didn't exactly happen like that.
Apparently....
Joey: We're together, right?
Shasha: o___O...no...
Joey: WHAT? Don't you like me? You don't like me...nobody likes me...DDDDX......(etc)
Shasha: Fine, fine, fine.
Joey: NOW EVERYONE IS MY WIFE!! *maniacal laughter*

Also I lost the 5 dollars I bet Awa. Because Shasha has a (kind-of) boyfriend. And Vivian doesn't. ^______^;;;;;;;;;;;;;

I need a life. I've almost finished up my sketchbook and I'm actually looking forwards to going to school. o________O

And the parrtyyyy! I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT WAIT IT IS TOMORROW AND WE ARE GOING TO HAVE CAKE AND ICE CREAM AND CAKE AND GO TO COMICS CONNECTION HAHAHAHA HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY IN ADVANCE AWA AND RI CHAN!!!!!

I woke up at 6 this morning with a nightmare that Awa was being chased by some crazy mathematician (don't ask) and had to barricade herself in the RGS greenhouse (don't ask) and get Stefanie Goh to help her fight him off with pitchforks. DDDDX

Also all of my drawings lately have dialogue in Japanese. o____O

Bit of an emo mood today.

Went to look at a house that my mom thinks we should rent when the lease on this flat expires. It was not bad. (It was pwnsome, actually. ^^) 3 floors, small garden, general airiness all round...AND IT IS RIGHT NEAR TO THAT PLAYGROUND WHERE WE WENT BACK WHEN WE WERE AT RGPS

So yeah. I'm feeling functional, ready to go back to school once it re-opens. Even I can get sick of holidays. (And man am I sick of them.)

Master in Mousehunt! ^_____^ I'll save on money and not buy an NVMRC or DeathBot for a while, maybe not at all...? ^^ I've moved into the Lab but I'm not catching much...maybe buy Brie once my Swiss runs out.

There is very little drawing space left in my sketchbook. DDDX.....on a brighter note, I have another sketchbook somewhere!

*should really try drawing something other than manga-style girls.....^^*

At least that's how it's starting to feel. Can't wait to watch a movie with Ri-chan this Friday, though, and then Awa and Ri-chan's birthday parties are coming up....^_________^
Then of course there's the class outing and such. And I'll be back in school!! xDD

I did some emo-ing today. Everyone hates me, and I don't have any friends in my class, and I'm going to get less than 4.0 for my CAP, and the end of the world is at hand, and such. Nothing to be taken seriously, and nothing to remember. ^^

Trust me, I can't wait until I'm back in school and actually have something to write about in these blog posts....

Meanwhile, my graphing calculators are both working, my sister's P4 math is as easy as ever (although it seems to be killing her), my wooden especially-for-drawing-people mini manniquin does not bend at all like a human being at the joints....such is life.

Because of something Joey said, I listened to 'Nobody' for a while online. "I want nobody nobody but chuu~" or whatever, because the singer(s?) are Korean and cannot seem to pronounce 'you'. It's cute.

....speaking of Joey, I can't believe I actually had a discussion regarding my romantic prospects with ANYONE. o___O

Heaven forbid I should partake of such idiocy again.

(Do I really I need advice from her on how to confess effectively? o___O)

So....Ri-chan and Awa's birthday parties are coming up!! xDDDDDD

And so is the class outing! Which would be more fun if I weren't quite so alienated from the rest of my class (DDDDDDX) but it's sure to be great anyway!! ^^ And anyway I won't spend the whole time with Leyi this time- she's nice, but most of the other people are nice too, and I might as well spend more time with the class as a whole---it's a CLASS outing, after all! xD Also I hope Mr Cheong can make it~~~

Also, the RGS open house---my mom wants me to transfer to RGS, yeah, but the whole idea is still kind of WTF for me. o__O....transfer schools?!? But.....
a) I won't qualify for their (almost certainly) super-competitive track team
b) I won't learn as much science and stuff
c) I won't be getting such good grades in English and the like
d) I'd have to learn Japanese at the language center
e) It'd involve abandoning a **** of a lot of people.

On the other hand
a) I have a lot of friends there too
b) I wouldn't be as likely to suffer traumatic brain injury
c) The humanities department is far better than that here.....

Guess I'll be staying where I am, though. What kind of shonen manga hero would switch schools just because things weren't going his way?

I have now officially joined the ranks of Code Geass watchers around the world.

=DDDDDDDD

It's the first anime I've ever set out to watch, as I WILL keep telling people, and so far the verdict is... not bad. Unlike what Joey says, there is a story and a good one at that. Obviously with an antihero-type like Lelouch, there will be comparisons with Death Note, and so far I've noticed one difference: LELOUCH KNOWS THAT WHAT HE IS DOING IS NOT NECESSARILY THE RIGHT THING. That may seem like a bad thing, but actually, it makes him a lot more human than Light is, by putting everything in perspective for him so he doesn't succumb to egotism. (At least, he's being slower about it than Light was, but even now I'm just at Episode 13, so who knows what'll happen later?)

Apart from that, I like Kallen. Even if Fangirl-san decided she didn't like me because of that. (But then she decided she liked me anyway because I ship Lelouch/C.C.)

So meanwhile, well, we debate the morals of the universe. Don't mind me, I'm just here for the giant mecha.

And I wish the hole to insert the other end of the earphones was in a more convenient place. At least my speakers are busted; I don't think the opening songs and such would agree with my sisters.

(Did I mention that they're probably not busted but just got unplugged a year or two ago and nobody thought of remedying the problem? ^^)

And we are flung back into the great debate about Awa's birthday party. Is she to have one? When is it to be? How much of a compromise should I settle for?

(with Awa, every argument ends in a compromise.)

And one LOL-ish thing that happened to me was that my room was being cleaned (it wasn't my idea, my mom just decided it was too dusty in here or something) and while I was out, Lissa found the Reborn! poster I bought Awa and stuck it up on my wall!!! Then it was very troublesome to take it down........ (<---- spoilers here about part of Awa's birthday present! xDDD)
Apparently she thought it was very nice and didn't know why it was just lying around. o_O

I should really start researching giant mecha sometime soon.

Also, I want to go to Comics Connection and buy some posters and a present for Ri-chan as soon as I get out of this HOUSE ARREST business. T___T

Also, 'Drawing Days' is a nice song, but I like the title better. It makes me want to write a poem or something. o_O

Today, Nothing Much Happened.

Probably on account of its being Sunday.

I didn't even get to go to church, because I was so sleepy. (Although I did get up for 2 hours in the morning to coordinate my sisters' Mothers Day arrangements for Mom.)

So...I drew a little. (So ugly I didn't even bother scanning it.)

Also, although I've been talking to Awa and Onion-san on and off all day, we've only just discovered the glory of 3-person chat.

Her birthday is on Tuesday after all. It must suck to be sick on your birthday...

Maybe life will get more interesting later on. But seriously. I want some giant mecha.

So here I am, trying hard not to feel self-conscious as I type.



Staying at home still sucks, because, honestly, people, as much as you may wish you weren't taking exams, staying at home SUCKS.



(Should I have added a redundancy alert?)



And no, I can't make it for the exams, so my grade is going to be extrapolated from my CA marks. It. Is. The. End. Of. The. World. As. I. Know. It. Because my Physics really needs another pwnsome test score to pull up that utter-rubbish semester of mediocre practicals. I blame the teacher entirely.



On a brighter note, I now have Reborn! Volume 9......but in traditional Chinese. Because that's the cheapest. ^^;; At least I can understand it, right? And it's probably more educational material than attending one of Silicone Woman's ramblings. I mean, even fighting manga with whole pages of nothing more than '呜喔喔喔喔！‘ and ‘看我的！’ and special attack names is at least interesting!!



Also, I did a drawing for Ri-chan, since she's down with the flu. I am now trying to get Joey to photoshop it and add colour, since she pwns at that. The issue is tracking her down. T_T


I know it isn't very good, though.

Oh well, such is life. I've been planning things out for the manga I want to draw, (with Vivian as assistant), and so far it's going decently, although I don't know when I'm ever going to find the time. I think I'll discuss the plot with Vivian when I get back to school. For now, if I get ahold of her, I just need to make her give the kiwi Pocky I PAID FOR to Onion-san to pass it to Awa.
